So the world is changing. Or is it? Are we doing our best to keep it as is? I think we are. Time and time again we use old solutions, ways of operating and tools for a new world and then we are surprised that they fail to deliver quite the benefits we hoped for.

We are using an ailing economy as an excuse not to innovate, not to be brave, not to push forward. We are hoping that everything will go back to normal once the economy picks up. But we are kidding ourselves nothing ever goes backwards. Now is the normal. Tomorrow is the new normal.

We need to let the past inform us, but not control us, and we need to embrace thinking and acting differently if we are to truly succeed.
